Raising Disciples in My Home and Yours

When I had my first child I quit my job as a Children's Minister to stay at home full time as a wife and mother, and... I hated it. This was not what I had expected! The constant crying, schedules, sleeplessness and poo! What had I done...

But as time passed, and life continued, I found joy in raising this little disciple. Not as someone who would one day love and follow Jesus, but as someone who could love and follow Jesus TODAY. While there is glory in traveling the world making disciples, I had the same opportunity right in my own home.

Every day Jesus helps me as I teach, rebuke, correct and train my children in righteousness. I put my Children's Ministry skills to use in my home, and now I hope it can be a blessing to others also.

The glory in the poo is what it brings- the opportunity to Raise Disciples.

About Me

I live in Sydney, Australia, with my husband and 2 boys. We attend an Anglican Church and would describe ourselves as Reformed Evangelical. I have a Diploma of Theology and worked as a full time Children's Minister for 7 years before having children. I love hot chocolate and croissants, preferably together.

What you see is what we've been using in our own home, just a bit prettier. I figured if I was already spending time creating teaching material for my own children, I might as well share it with others. My goal is to make teaching the bible as fun, easy, and clear as possible. Whether you are a theologian, or a new convert, hopefully this is helpful for anyone who wants to share the gospel with young children.
